October 23, 1930 – Emperor Chiang-Kai-Shek Converted

Chiang-Kai-Shek, the leader of the Republic of China which was better known as Taiwan, was converted to Catholicism by his mother on October 23, 1930. He was the primary opponent of the Chinese Communists who were under the leadership of Mao Tse-Tung. Later reports say he became a Methodist.
