J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis first met at the Eagle and Child Pub in Oxford, England, on May 11, 1926. This conversation would later involve a dozen other literary giants who deemed themselves “The Inklings”. many of whom taught at Oxford University for over two decades. Each of these writers included countless Christian themes in the fiction of the poems, novels, and plays written by many Inklings members.
