John Calvin may be one of the most well-known preachers in church history. On February 6, 1564, he was carried to his church while seated in a chair because he was so frail. Despite this, he still preached what would be his last sermon. It is believed that he had malaria and had overworked himself to the point of exhaustion and sickness. He would die three months later. Pictured is the auditorium in which Calvin did a majority of his preaching in Geneva.
