One of the most influential reformed theologists of the modern age was Benjamin Breckinridge “B.B.” Warfield. One of the last theology professors at Princeton University to recognize the authority of the Bible, he wrote extensively on the canon of Scripture. On Christmas Eve, 1920, he fell ill and was expected to pass soon after. However, on February 16, 1921, he believed himself well enough to teach class, only to die suddenly that night.
